The Soul of the ’80s and ’90s Reawakened
The 500F LAMS takes its look from the Japanese naked bikes of the ’80s and ’90s, with a round LED headlight, a classic fuel tank and a clean tail section. Underneath is a 470 cc inline-four, with power limited to under 35 kW for learner and restricted licence riders. The 795 mm seat height and upright riding position make it easy to feel at home from your first ride.

The 500F LAMS uses the same 470 cc inline-four as the full power 500F, with output limited to under 35 kW to meet LAMS. Power delivery is smooth and dense, paired with a specially tuned exhaust note that carries the character of the classic four-cylinder bikes it’s inspired by.

LAMS stands for Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme. It allows riders on a learner or restricted licence to ride motorcycles that have been approved under the scheme. Licence conditions vary between states, territories and New Zealand, so check with your local licensing authority for the rules that apply to you.
Engine output on the 500F LAMS is limited to under 35 kW to meet LAMS. The frame, suspension, brakes, styling and electronics are shared with the full power 500F.
Without full fairings, a naked motorcycle offers a more upright riding position, excellent visibility and a greater sense of connection with the road. The 500F LAMS delivers the comfort and practicality riders appreciate every day.
